All Scripture Inspired?
This video just touches upon the questions of what scripture is and how it is to be used. (Omega Mind is in the Premium Essays section behind a very small paywall.) These essays are where I formed the idea that all scriptures, all sacred writings are humanly mediated. Regardless of “where” they originate, to get here they had to pass through a person. That means they are always filtered through the ego. That leads us to realize that they will be altered, focused, or directed toward whatever issues the writer is concerned about. The lesson is that, as readers of sacred texts, we have both the privilege and the responsibility for deciding how to apply the writing we encounter. It’s not so much about a right or wrong interpretation as it is about what we DO with what we read. My hope is that we learn how to Validate, Empower, and Liberate people with what we gain from our encounters with scripture.
